the union has fielded several phone calls recently about management require carriers to be in full uniform. For those carriers that have received a uniform allowance, uniform use is NOT optional. The job of a letter carrier requires the wearing of a proper and neat uniform.

Letter Carriers are not authorized to ever sign for a customers mail on their behalf. Carrier can be disciplined for signing for someone else's mail, you are not doing your customer a favor by signing for a certified and leaving it in the mailbox. Let the customer sign for it themselves.

The next union meeting is open to all members and is Wednesday November 2, 2016 at 7:00pm and will be held at the IBEW union hall located at 2300 East River Road, Rochester NY 14623.
